The short answer
Nationally, a local 90-second brand video costs $2,700 to $3,500. A multi-day brand film runs $7,500 to $12,000 nationally. Anyone who won’t give you a number before a discovery call is either scoping every job from scratch or deciding what you can afford.
We publish our rates because you quote for a living. You deserve the same courtesy.
What actually drives the price
Three things move a video budget: how many days a crew is on site, how complicated the edit is, and how far the crew has to travel. Camera gear rarely matters, most reputable shops are already shooting on cinema bodies.
- Shoot days. One day at a job site usually produces three to six short videos.
- Edit tier. A clean cut with a balanced grade costs a fraction of custom VFX and sound design.
- Travel. Inside 100 miles it should be free. Beyond that, ask for an all-inclusive number.
Day rates vs. project quotes
Most of what a video costs, day rate or flat project quote, is really the same math wearing a different label. A day rate charges for the crew’s time on site and lets the number of finished pieces float with what the day actually produces; a project quote fixes the deliverable count up front and prices the day rate into it, plus the edit. Day rates are the better fit when you know how many days you can put a crew on site but are not sure yet how many finished videos that should produce. Project quotes are the better fit for a single defined deliverable, like a brand film, where the shoot days and the edit are priced together as one number before anyone shows up. Either way, ask whether travel, the drone, and the edit are already inside the number you were quoted or waiting to be added after the fact.

Red flags in a video quote
Vague line items, “creative fees” with no deliverable attached, footage you don’t own, and subcontracted crews you’ll never meet. If the company that shoots isn’t the company that edits, expect the second bill.
